| The Academy began in 2004 by offering short-term yet comprehensive workshops in courses such as Directing, Cinematography, Editing and Acting. In 2005, it moved to its present location in Mactan, Cebu and, in January 2006, launched its much-awaited One-Year Immersion in Filmmaking. |

| IAFT employs a year-round enrollment that utilizes an academic calendar that is aligned with regular school semesters. This modular approach gives students great flexibility in choosing their degree of proficiency, and allows them to plot their education and training according to specific timelines customized to varying levels. |
